The Concord QV9820 4G camera uses the phone network to show video in the Concord Connect App. You'll need to buy it a 4G data SIM. Telstra, Optus and Vodafone SIMs are automatically supported.
If you see the message below, and your camera says Offline, the SIM card in the camera has no data left.
Can I add data to the SIM included in the camera?
The camera comes from the factory with a test SIM installed, as this allowed the maker to verify that the camera worked. It is not possible to add more data to the test SIM.
You will need to eject and replace the test SIM with a local telco 4G data SIM, so the camera can be connected to your App.
How to replace the test SIM card
Switch-off the camera.
Roll the camera ball, and lift the rubber flap to expose the SIM slot.
Insert the SIM with it oriented as shown below, make sure it "clicks" in, and close the flap.
When powered-on, the camera should speak: "Network connecting" and then "4G connected".
If it does not say "4G connected", test the SIM card in a phone to make sure it works.
To use SIMs from telcos other than Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, you will need to add the camera in the App and when it fails to connect, it will offer the option that allows you to manually input the APN for your telco. You'll need to be close to the camera to do this.
