How to update the QM4010 to connect with Android Auto

Issue:

Some Android Phone owners may find that their version of Android will not allow them to connect successfully to their car's head unit using the QM4010 CarPlay/Android Auto Wireless Adapter. 

Solution:

Summary:

1. Plug in your unit to the vehicle, make sure the it is on, and your phone has telco reception.

2. Connect to the unit's Wi-Fi Access Point on your phone, password 12345678. 

3. Open the phone's web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.1.101 to access the config page. 

4. Scroll down and press Switch P2P. Now press OK.

5. Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, then Additional settings, and choose Wi-Fi Direct. 

6. Go back to the list of Wi-Fi APs, and connect to the unit again. 

7. Return to the browser. Refresh the page by pulling down. 

8. Scroll down and press Upgrade under Online Updates.

9. Wait for the update to complete.
