Issue

You've swapped in a new complete hotend to your Centauri 2-series printer, but the print quality is bad, with brittle and messy layers, and insufficient extrusion. 

Cause

You may have installed a hotend made for the first-generation Centauri Carbon. These hotends are physically compatible, but come with different thermistors to the ones made for Centauri 2-series printers. The first-generation Centauri Carbon hot end's thermistor is calibrated to report a different temp scale, & the Centauri 2-series mainboard doesn’t command the nozzle to heat high enough as a result.

Fix

Make sure your Centauri 2-series has the hotend with the skinny copper wires going to the smaller plug, as per the image below - our code 002324.

The one on the left with the thicker, black-coated wires, is only for TL4980 first-generation Centauri Carbon printers - our code 001756.
