Issue
The Z-axis does not rise after dropping down to the bottom position. The Z-axis motor may seem like it's stuck or unable to move.
Cause
Most likely the build plate is sticking to the film so strongly that the motor does not have the torque to separate it properly. This can happen when old film and resin combine make a too-sticky surface for the plate to separate from easily. Also, check to make sure there's no spilled resin caught in the screw shaft.
Fix
Carefully pry the vat loose or use gloves to gently pull up on the build plate/lead screw to break the suction. Empty and clean the vat with Isopropyl Alcohol. Replace the film with a new one - they are a consumable item, so keep some spares on hand. For persistent sticking-to-FEP issues, consider lubricating the film.
If resin has spilled onto the screw shaft, remove and clean with Isopropyl Alcohol, and re-lubricate the shaft.
