This F1 message appears on the display when the fridge senses that the external battery voltage is too low. The fridge will stop running, to preserve the battery capacity.
F1 can also be caused by the power cable being too long, a bad plug connection, or the fridge has had an internal Lithium battery installed and needs you to change a setting. You can customise how low a voltage the fridge will accept before the fridge displays F1 and stops running.
How to change the fridge 12v battery protection setting:
- Hold the Gear (settings) button on the display until the battery cut-off indicator (H by default) blinks.
- Release the Gear button
- Tap the Gear again to change it to “H” from “M” or “L”.
- Wait for the blinking to stop.

For solar/battery-powered fridges with an internal Lithium battery installed, it must be set to “L”.
