Do you have a travel adaptor for my country?

We sell a range of power plug converters / travel adapters for inbound tourists that want to convert the mains plug from a foreign non-Australian appliance or power pack, so you can plug it into mains power sockets in Australia.

We also sell adaptors for Australians travelling overseas that allow you to plug an Australian appliance or power adapter in to a foreign country mains power socket

However, these plug adaptors do not convert the voltage delivered by the mains socket. Your appliance has to be designed to work on whatever voltage the mains socket provides in the destination country.

Overseas tourists coming to Australia: your appliance or power pack from outside Australia will need to be checked to make sure it can work on Australian 220v to 240v AC power. This also applies to Australians buying foreign appliances on overseas websites.

If your appliance label says Input 100v, 110v or 120v AC only, like the one shown below, it will not work in Australia unless you step down the mains voltage. 

You can buy a stepdown transformer (220vAC to 110vAC) with a USA-type socket for your foreign appliance or plugpack here.

If the device has an external power pack with a single barrel plug, you may be able to find a generic equivalent power adaptor here. This can be a more economical solution than a stepdown transformer.

Australians leaving Australia: your Australian appliance or power pack will need to be checked to make sure it can work on whatever voltage the foreign country sockets supply. A list of country voltages is here.

If your appliance label says Input 220 or 240v AC only, like the one below, it will not work in countries that use 110-120v, such as the USA. It should be fine in 220-240v countries like the UK and EU, with a suitable plug adaptor from the range below.

If your appliance has a label that says 100-240v like the one below, it should work pretty much anywhere in the world, and you can safely use our adaptors to change the plug.

New Zealand and Australia use identical plugs and voltages. No conversion is required for travelling between them with appliances or power packs purchased in either country.
