You can reset your Concord security system back to factory defaults, in the event that the unit is not working correctly - this may be caused by power disconnects or surges.
Check if your Concord Security unit has a reset pinhole
Most recent Concord Security systems have a pinhole on the back (as pictured below) that allows you to reset the system.
Connect a TV screen or PC monitor, and the mouse to the unit.
Press a toothpick or opened paperclip into the hole to depress the button, and wait ten seconds. The screen will change and go through the start-up process.
You can then use the mouse to enter a new password in the New Admin Password and Confirm boxes on the screen, and press Apply to save it. The Start-Up wizard will appear and complete the setup process for you.
For units without the reset pinhole, please follow the instructions below.
Connect your Concord Security system to a screen and mouse.
Move the mouse to bottom left, click the start button, then Setup, enter your password if prompted, and then go right to System / Maintenance
Choose Load default. Tick the top box to select all boxes, and press Apply on bottom right.
The unit should reboot after a little while and run the Start-up Wizard.
